There is an appealing story to the Cambodia casinos that reside just across the border from next door Thailand, in which gambling den betting is banned. Eight casinos are situated in a relatively small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent spot, a three to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest wagering centers in Asia. The initial Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving just one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. One more of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive vacation and hotel complex that contains numerous conveniences in addition to the gambling hall, which provides ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and 88 gaming tables.
